Our History

THE WEEKEND DRIVE was founded by Vince Bodiford in 1992 as “At the Wheel,” a weekly syndicated automotive newspaper feature which he wrote. The Weekend Drive was among the very first automotive websites at the time, and it grew quickly to become a popular automotive review website. The feature still appears occasionally in newspapers as an automotive feature, but its main North American audience is served by this website. The Weekend Drive owned by Golden Media, Inc.
